Northstar @ Tahoe

Challenge: Northstar @ Tahoe is one of the premier ski resorts and vacation destinations on the California side of North Lake Tahoe. When Booth Industries purchased the resort they wanted to create a new logo system that divided the mountain according to terrain. This way Dad knew he could go ‘rip it up’ on the backside, while the kids played in the terrain park, Mom hit the groomers and the grandparents went cross-country skiing. Lodges, restaurants and mixed-use retail areas were also included in the brand refresh. Phil Foster created a series of iconic badges and a visual system to tie it all together, along with a set of identity and signage guidelines to help implement the new look. The new branding arrived in concert with an expansion of Northstar’s village, mountain and accommodation offerings, all aimed at attracting more visitors.
